Dr. V. M. I. NAMBISSAN Memorial Library (ICEAS Library) is located on the main campus in a separate, spacious building that spans three floors. Each floor is purposefully designed to support specific functions:
The first floor houses the Stack Section, the second floor is home to the Reference Section, and the third floor features a state-of-the-art Digital Library cum Communication Lab equipped with 30 internet-connected computer systems.
The library has a total physical collection of 21,410 books covering 6,758 titles and provides access to a wide range of electronic resources through various resource providers under the VTU Consortium subscription. The e-resources include 12,499 e-journals, 51,361 e-books, 1,800 e-conference proceedings, 3,174 e-magazines, 1,260 e-newspapers and other resources, and 164 video courses.
The library has a total built-up area of 6,270 square feet with a seating capacity for 150 users, offering a well-structured and inviting environment for study and research. Each section is equipped with spacious reading halls, user-friendly racks, a CCTV surveillance system, and a 24/7 remote access facility, contributing to an organized and accessible atmosphere. The well-planned seating arrangement and ample ventilation create a calm and inspiring silent environment, encouraging students to engage deeply in academic and intellectual pursuits.
The Library is fully automated using Koha software, an open-source Integrated Library System (ILS), and provides an OPAC search facility along with an e-Gate Register (In–Out Management System). In
